Haven Tutoring
At Haven Tutoring our aim is to provide data-driven, personalized literacy instruction to meet every student’s unique needs. Our literacy intervention programs not only bridge the educational gap to help our students succeed in the classroom, but they also equip each student with strategies and skills they can use for the rest of their lives. We want to empower every learner to feel confident and supported in their literacy skills as we walk alongside them in their pivotal developmental years.
Intervention Tutoring
Includes diagnostic testing, personalized, engaging, and data-driven lessons, as well as bimonthly progress updates. Offered year round.
Open to students entering 5th through 12th grade.
Homework Help
Support and guidance through tough assignments or challenging classes. Offered September 3rd through June 3rd.
Open to students entering 5th through 12th grade.
Summer Literacy
Offered twice a week from June 17th until August 16th.
Keep your literacy and language skills sharp with this fun reading and writing summer program.
Open to students entering 2nd through 5th grade.
A package to help students who are struggling to succeed in ELA class.

Meet Your Tutor
Hi! I'm Jade Havenaar.
I started Haven Tutoring because I'm passionate about literacy and language. I also believe that every student has the capability of being successful in reading and writing, and it's my joy to help you or your student achieve your literacy goals.
I graduated from Calvin College in 2019 with a double major in both Secondary English Education and Spanish Language.
I completed my Masters degree in Literacy Education at Arizona State University in 2024.
I have experience classroom teaching within middle and high school, and I successfully ran an after school care program for 3s through 5th grade.
I married the love of my life in 2021. We currently live in Holland, MI with our cat. (Our apartment doesn't allow dogs, or we'd already have a Golden Retriever!)
In my free time I love to hike, go to the beach, grab a cup of coffee, and read!
